Maturity
The same way a parent is concerned for their child who might not be growing, getting bigger, gaining strength—we should be concerned when we’re not growing in our relationship with God.

Mercy, Grace, & Comfort in Our Time of Need
Hebrews 4:14-5:10

Rest
We all at times need some rest. The Bible refers to rest by God at creation, the Sabbath rest in the Old Testament and even in Joshua settling in the promised land is referred to rest. While we might find “rest” now as followers of Jesus, the ultimate “rest” will come when we one day when we live in God’s presence in Heaven.

Unbelief
Unbelief is not just about not believing, it's about failing to trust. As we follow God, we should follow God together--to the very end--having confidence, protecting our hearts, and encouraging one another so that none of us are hardened by sin's deceitfulness.
Hebrews 3:7-19

The Broad vs. Narrow Way
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

The House of God
Church is more than a temple; it's the house of God. While Moses sought God's presence in the temple, we come to God through Jesus. Jesus is over God's House. As a body of believers, we are the church, the true house of God.

In-Between
The Hebrew church was struggling to recognize the power of the resurrection. When we focus on our pain, hurt, tears, and suffering -- the "right now" -- we can sometimes forget it, too. But Jesus changes everything in the in-between.

Drifting
Drifting can be dangerous; it can put us in places we never want to be. We can drift in life and we can drift spiritually. It's a slow process, until one day we wake up and we are far from where we're supposed to be. Have you drifted far from your anchor? Is your anchor gone?

Focus on Jesus
Hebrews 1—Are we bored of Jesus? Has worship lost its zest? The book of Hebrews was written to a group of Christians who were struggling; they were "Christians who were tired of being Christians." But the problem isn't the church, the problem is us. We need to be reminded of who we are and who we follow. We need to focus on Jesus.

Discovering God’s View
How we view God and his kingdom will often impact how we respond and live. In Acts 10, both Cornelius and Peter had to discover a new view of God in their lives that would shape the way they lived.

The Next 100 Years
Our church celebrated 100 years this weekend. As we wrap up our series of the 7 Churches in Revelation, we end with a remembrance of the servants of the past, and look forward to the next 100 years. Let us not be complacent, but but let us live the lessons of these churches--today and for the days to come.

Wake Up!
Wake Up! | Revelation 3:1-6
The Sardis Church was living off their reputation, but they were dead. They needed to wake up and strengthen what remained. We can also spiritually dead (or dying) and we need to wake up. We need to remember and focus on our purpose and our mission: follow Jesus and share Jesus with the world.

Repent and Stand Strong

Stand for Truth
Stand for Truth
Revelation 2:12-17
It seems in our world truth is very evasive. But there is truth. God is truth. Jesus is truth. The Holy Spirit reveals truth. There is truth and the church that Jesus died and rose for is to stand for truth.

Renew Your Commitment
Renew Your Commitment (Revelation 2:8-11)
We are probably all afraid of something. The church in Smyrna had many reasons to be fearful in the face of persecution. Yet they are to be fearless and faithful.

Renew Your Love
Is something missing in your spiritual life? The passion and zeal gone? Maybe like the Ephesian church in Revelation 2 it is time to renew your love for Jesus and reconnect with His followers.

The Risen Savior Cares
In a world where there is suffering and church attendance overall is declining, we might wonder if Jesus cares? In Revelation 1, we are given this incredible vision of Jesus standing among his churches proclaiming I care and have not left you!

The Stone Will Cry Out
Inaugural parades for new leaders are festive occasions. Yet on this parade in Luke 19 that declares Jesus as king as one group cheers, he weeps for others.
When some Jewish leaders ask him to silence the crowds, he declares you can’t or the stones will cry out.

Be Content - Exodus 20:17-21
Don't have a heart that desires things that don't belong to you, but have a heart that desires God.
Exodus 20:17-21
