All of us have a role to play in helping the next generation know and deepen their relationship with God. Not only that, but parents, grandparents and the church as a whole are integral in developing a foundation of faith that will carry our children through a lifetime. The Fairview Heights Church of Christ is proud to host the “Growing Faith in Our Children” event, with special guest speakers: Carl and Alicia Williamson. Carl and Alicia provide research-based knowledge and expertise, discussing the following topics:
the significance of the Christian Faith in health identity formation
the role parents, grandparents, and the church plays in influencing our children’s faith
practical tips for parents, grandparents, spiritual mentors and friends
learning to follow Christ together

Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers, & Faith Mentors of Children and Adolescents — and anyone who cares that the next generation knows Jesus.
What is it about?
Learning how to help the next generation develop a foundation of faith that will carry them through a lifetime!
When is it?
The first session starts on Saturday, May 17th at 9:00 a.m. and ends before noon. The second session is on Sunday, May 18th starting at 9:30 a.m. and includes a sermon on the topic of “Learning to Follow Christ Together.”
How much does it cost?
This event is FREE! We will also provide free childcare on a limited basis. (Please see the registration form for more information.)

Meet Our Guest Speakers
Carl and Alicia Williamson
Carl and Alicia spent fourteen years working as domestic church planters in central New Jersey. They, along with their two daughters, Zoe (18) and Elle (16), were part of a church planting team that planted two churches and taught and equipped a number of new Christians. Carl and Alicia now work for Harding University as Professors for the College of Bible and Ministry. As part of his role at Harding, Carl leads the Outreach America program which seeks to encourage church planting and discipleship among churches in the US. Carl holds a DMin from Harding School of Theology, and Alicia holds a Masters in Systematic Theology and a Masters in Christian Ministry from Harding School of Theology. Alicia is in her final year at Regent School of Divinity where she is earning a PhD in Practical Theology. Her dissertation focus is on the Spiritual Formation of Emerging Adults. Carl and Alicia have a deep love for guiding college students to become disciple makers and lifelong Jesus followers.
